"I am Víctor García Guillén (Víctor Doblege), a visual artist born in Arica, Chile.
Throughout my artistic career, I have worked with various materials and styles, ranging from the figurative to the abstract. On this occasion, the works that are part of this exhibit are paintings made with oil on Figueras paper, where still lifes are represented and created from discarded objects that have been collected along the beaches of the city where I live and work. In this way, through the act of painting what is considered trash, I return to the viewer what is no longer useful, but that continues to exist and occupy a space within our urban and natural landscapes."
