Performing Art Stages at CSPS

Theater

The Theater is a 45x50' auditorium with a 220 seat capacity or 100 seated at 5' rounds (not provided). This proscenium Theater has hosted community events for over 120 years with its historic raked stage, drapery and dressing rooms. This space is ideal for speakers, plays, concerts, films etc.

C Space

C Space is a black box style theater space seating 75 people in rows or 50 people in the round. This space offers basic sound equipment and dimmable theater lights. Ideal for performances of 5 performers or less, video recordings and artist talks.

  • Video projector w/ 9x12' screen

Lodge

The 30x45' Lodge room features high arched windows, drapes, ornamental tin ceilings and wooden  floor with adjacent coat room, historical display and unisex restroom. Please note that the Lodge is only accessible via stair entry (12 steps total). This space is ideal for classes, rehearsal space, artist collective meetings, or small immersive style performances.

Stage Specs

Raised, proscenium stage off of a flat auditorium floor with riser seating for 85 persons and floor seating

for 100 persons. Auditorium floor is 50’ deep and 45’ wide, with an ornamental tin ceiling 20’ high. Proscenium opening is 22’ wide and 12’ high, and raised 4’ off auditorium floor. Stage is raked at 6” per foot for a total of 18” over the 30’ depth.

Four onstage electric pipes at 14’ high, and four auditorium electric pipes at 18’. Two sets of back legs at 8’ and 16’ upstage from proscenium. Full stage traveler 24’ upstage from proscenium (no cyclorama or house curtain).

Rear projection, in 16x9' native format, with lenses for screen positions at 4’ and 16’ upstage of proscenium (screen is approximately 10x19’).

Artist Amenities

The Artist Apartment is a private and secure green room underneath the stage. It includes free WiFi, a private bathroom and shower, kitchen, lounge area, large dining table and chairs. If you choose to stay at CSPS, we also offer coffee and tea service, fresh fruit, chips and salsa, local beer and wine.
