Act of creation

Nic’s passion has always been art. When asked to describe their artistic calling, it was hard for them. So many things ran through their brain: gender, identity, self actualization, things art had inspired them to explore, to pick just one calling, one thing that they needed to impact upon the art world, was impossible.

If you had asked Nic, they would tell you that art has always been intrinsically part of them, from the doodles in their sketchbooks of bees, to the oil paintings Nic’s painted, to the artistic clothing they crafts for their Japanese Fashion hobby, Art has never not been a part of Nic’s life. 

They’ve won awards in the latter, earning their spot at The Great Lace with a panel on EGL Sewing, which they’ll be attending soon! They’re also a Master level cosplayer, having competed and won many competitions with their multi-genre characters. 

In their off hours they enjoy petting cats, are stressing about their BFA/MLIS from the University of Iowa, or can be found in front of their sewing machine, making sure that ruffle gets sewn in at breakneck speed.
