Where Artists Shine, Tech Must Too
CSPS Hall has been a cornerstone of the Cedar Rapids arts scene for over three decades, welcoming local and nationally renowned artists in music, theatre, dance, and visual arts.
Today, we continue to use much of the same technology installed 30 years ago. To ensure CSPS is able to continue to deliver these outstanding performances and exhibitions, we need to bring our technology — lighting, sound, and other essential systems — up to today’s standards.
The State of the Art Campaign is raising $300,000 to make those upgrades possible. The Hall-Perrine Foundation has generously pledged a $150,000 matching grant towards this effort, meaning every dollar raised up to that amount will be doubled.
This is a rare opportunity to preserve the magic of live performance, support artists, and strengthen our community’s cultural life for years to come.
The Need
Nearly all of our existing technology is inefficient and out of date often requiring extra staff time to make work. As a result, we are unable to offer the sound and visual quality that artists need.
